What is LiteFarm

LiteFarm is a free and open source farm management tool made for current and aspiring sustainable farms. It was built by farmers and researchers coordinated by the University of British Columbia to address many of the challenges in farm management. It’s currently being used to manage farm operations in more than 140 countries.

Built for farmers

LiteFarm has been co-designed by farmers, with ease of use as our top priority. Our features are designed especially for the needs of sustainable, diversified, and organic farmers.

We support you

From the start, we've been incredibly interdisciplinary and we're proud of that! We've built in-app helptext and tutorial videos to help you get the most out of your experience as you're using the tool. You can also submit help tickets directly in the app by going to 'My profile' and 'Help'.

 

We encourage you to jump right in and learn as you go!

LiteFarm allows our employees to support school gardens in the largest school district in Texas while managing our six-acre food and agriculture literacy farm. The app also allows the high school students in our agriculture practicum to have more autonomy. They feel empowered when they get to choose which tasks to complete first.
